This study conducted by the European Gas Forum is intended to facilitate a transparent debate about how best to achieve emissions reduction targets in the transport sector.

It provides policy makers and industry players with descriptions of two potential pathways to meet abatement targets in 2050, and outlines how an alternative pathway, with a more significant role for natural gas, could reach the 2050 CO2 abatement targets in the transportation sector and deliver cost savings of around €58-67bn in the period to 2030.
